More Than Words:
Practical anti-racism and active allyship

A self paced anti-racism programme for leaders, teams and practitioners navigating race, power and belonging at work.

More Than Words helps people build the confidence, language and practical skills to respond with more care, courage and accountability when things feel difficult, tense or unclear.

It is a practical workplace anti-racism and allyship programme for those who care about equity but want to be more prepared or supported when harm, defensiveness, hard conversations or ruptures arise at work.

closing the gap

More than good intentions

Many organisations say they care about equity, but good intentions alone do not prepare people for the moments when racism or discrimination shows up, nor do they create the inclusive culture they want.

Allyship is a skillset, not an identity

People want to respond well, but do not know what to say, how to intervene, what their role is, or how to act with both care and accountability under pressure. Those impacted by harm are left carrying the weight of poor responses, silence, defensiveness or inaction.

Preparedness can be built

More Than Words helps close the preparedness gap by building the confidence, language and practical skills needed to respond well, support those impacted, and act with care, courage and accountability.

Explore the Content…

  • Why conversations about race and discrimination feel hard. How to work with discomfort, not avoid it

  • How identity shapes our place, perspectives and the power we hold, and how that shows up in our daily workplace interactions

  • Understand the forms that racism takes, what this means for different ethnicities and cultures and how ideas of superiority take hold

  • Unpack how cultural narratives, stereotypes and norms shape how we judge each others and build awareness of where we shut down connection and empathy

  • Practise staying open when challenged, learn how to bridge across differences and challenge our own assumptions creating division

  • Develop the confidence, emotional regulation and language needed to respond to harm or exclusion - whether we experience it, cause it or witness it

  • Encourage self-responsibility for how we each show up at work, inviting participants to use their personal power to create safer, fairer spaces that build belonging

  • Bring the learning full circle. Reflect on what’s shifted, what’s yours to take forward, and what comes next

“It helped shift the culture in subtle but powerful ways. People are asking better questions, listening differently, and are less afraid to speak up.”
