Why Now?
We’re navigating a world of deep uncertainty: global conflict, polarisation, pushback against multiculturalism, and a rise in fear and fatigue. These dynamics are creating new belonging challenges for our workplace culture and relationships.
There are new permissions for more overt racism, and workplace banter has new potential for harm
Building belonging needs stronger skills of compassion, courage and accountability
Global oppression is intensifying the emotional labour for racialised staff - many are not OK
Remote/hybrid work makes relational trust harder to build and maintain, which means problems are less visible
Workplaces need new capacity to notice ‘othering’, to stay curious when it’s hard and to repair after ruptures
More Than Words gives individuals and teams real relational tools and grows confidence to meet this moment.
